Alison Esbach qualified in South Africa in 1995. In the following 15 years she has gained extensive work experience within a variety of rehabilitation
settings.
She has worked in the UK since 2000 and gained valuable work experience in other countries such as Saudi Arabia, and Ireland focusing on
adult and
elderly physical injuries and neurological conditions.
Her field of expertise and interest lies within brain injury rehabilitation. This includes conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke (CVA),
brain haemorrhage,
encephalitis and other acquired & progressive neurological conditions.
She has experience with orthopaedic and musculoskeletal injuries, and has developed structured, graded return-to-work programmes and been involved in
post-injury work
based rehabilitation.
Alongside her expertise in assessment and provision of specialist reports, Alison is a member of the College of Occupational
Therapists Specialist Sections: Independent Practice, Neurological Practice and Work. She maintains a high level of professional development by attending regular conferences and post-graduate courses to enhance and maintain her clinical and professional skill base.
